i know i am going to struggle to write about this gorgeous wedding day for so many reasons, but mostly because I got so close to this sweet couple. the real reason i got to shoot their wedding was that Ryder reached out to me when he was getting ready to propose, he wanted me to come and capture the proposal. i love a good proposal moment so i jumped on the chance even though i had literally just had a baby, but omg am i glad that i did.
following their engagement Alexa reached out to me and we went for coffee to talk about her wedding and the possibility of me being their photographer. the funny part is i think we barely talked wedding details and mostly just bonded on all the commonalities of our lives. we chatted about family and life and things we were passionate about until we realized it had been three hours. i knew even if we didnt work together we would definitely be friends. in the end i got the opportunity to shoot their wedding and celebrate with them, and danced the night away camera in hand. I will never get over how beautiful Canyonwood Ridge is, I absolutely love this venue.
these two had the most beautiful and classic wedding in Austin, Texas at Canyonwood Ridge, which is honestly one of my favorite venues. they were surrounded by love and family and you could just feel how loved these two are. they are both kind and caring. they have truly hearts of gold and i could not be more proud to call them friends.
Lex chose the most beautiful colors with pink accent and lots of beautiful greenery and florals. everything about this wedding was personalized. from the beautiful details to the display of both of their moms wedding dresses, it was a wedding and a museum of love all at once.
