Meet Birdie Knotts

I want to preface this blog by saying I am so beyond blessed. I have the most wonderful husband and they most gorgeous little girl. In one month our lives have changes so drastically. Joe and I went from just the two of us, to a family of three. We also realized it’s never going to be just two of us for another 25+ years!

The day my water broke was July 31st, I spent the day, get this, at schlitterbahn. Yes I really did. 9 months pregnant I went to the waterpark which probably helped send me into labor, but nonetheless what a crazy day. After that I actually went to my doctor for a check up, they told me I probably had another two more weeks. Excuse me? I was not loving that news. I was tired and huge and ready to meet my little babe. That night around 9:30, Joe was getting ready for bed and I told him that I thought my water broke, but I wasn’t sure. We kinda hung out for an hour before deciding to go into the hospital. I mean we both didn’t know if this was happening. As it turns out IT WAS HAPPENING! Guys I labored for 21 hours, once my epidural kicked in, I slept until they had to wake me up to tell me it was time to push, like what even. This babe made her entrance at 6:51 PM and a perfect 7 lbs 14 oz.

BEST MONTH EVER! She love to cuddle, take baths and swing in her swing. Mostly she just loves spending time with the people who love her. She loves to be held and her favorite time of the day is when daddy gets home from work. She locks her eyes on him and pretty much doesn’t look away until he heads to bed. Here is just a few more photos of our little Bird from her first month of life. Please be careful looking at these because baby fever could ensue.
